NEW WINETOUR (18 March '12)On the 15th of March 2012 we booked a winetour via the tourist office in Bordeaux. Hereby we went on a tour via BordoVino. After this wonderfull experience we were able to arange an offer especially for KLM-crews. In the near future bookable also via the hotel reception. For KLM the price is instead of 82 euro's p.p. now 70 euro's. You have to use the promotion code 'KLM' The tour starts at 13:45 lt and you will return in Bordeaux around 19:00 lt. The tour is given in English and is available daily except on monday's. You will visit two wine-estates in the Saint Emillion region, aprox 40 km east of Bordeaux. On one 'classic'estate you will have the experience to ensamble your own sublime mixture of Merlot and Cabernet to your own taste and a tour through the vineyards. The other estate, Soutard, has recently been modified for over 10 million euro's. And is one of the upper-class wine-estates. A real modern wine-estate in a classic chateau enviroment. After these two visits you will strawl through the medevil city of Saint Emillion. The wine tour includes besided your own sublime mixture a tasting of aproximately 10 different wines. PIZZARIA PEPPONE (19 May ’09) A really good Italian restaurant, all the meals are prepared with fresh ingredients. Peppone opens at 19:00 like most restaurants in France, however there is often a queue allready at 19:00. So, to make sure you'll have a table, be about 15 min early. FREE GYM ‘AMAZONIA’ (15 May ’09) Gym only 5 minutes walk from the hotel. All the equipment you need is there and you can take a shower afterwards. Bring your own towel ! Open until late in the evening.

DUNE DU PYLA (11 May '10)Next to the town of Arcachon is the biggest sand dune in Europe. An amazing pile of sand (117 meters high) and a famous tourist attraction, which will give you a splendid view over the surroundings of Arcachon and the sea. If you walk down the other side of the dune you are directly on the beach. It is best to hire a car at the airport or from behind the Bordeaux railway station. One way trip takes 1:45: 30 minutes by tram to get to the railway station (€ 1.10, change at Garonne, stop is Porte de Bourgogne) 10 minutes to buy a train ticket (€ 9.60, intricate machine....) 10 minutes to walk to your train (at the end of the station) Train takes about 55 minutes to Arcachon When in Arcachon, the beach is only a couple of minutes away. € 21,40 in total. AQUALAND ARCACHON (22 Okt '11)Nice trip for a warm day: Aqualand Arcachon. A park full of water slides. Take bus 16 to trainstation. Take train to La Hume (direction Arcachon). Runs once an hour. From La Hume, take bus 7 direction to 'Parcs de Loisirs'. Bus passes by Aqualand. Entree fee is 25 euros. When it's busy, it's worth renting a 'priority' tube for 10 euros extra. It can be really busy in August. Lockers cost 4 euros.
